About this event

ABOUT ENCQOR 5G

As the world races towards ubiquitous 5G access, the Governments of Canada, Ontario and

Quebec have partnered with some of the world’s leading tech corporations to create the

Evolution of Networked Services through a Corridor in Quebec and Ontario for Research and

Innovation program (ENCQOR 5G). This program is delivered by Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) in Ontario.

Housed at MaRS in Toronto with other locations across Ontario (Invest Ottawa & Communitech -

Waterloo) and Quebec, the ENCQOR testbed is Canada’s first open access, pre-commercial 5G

infrastructure. It allows small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and academia to

develop and demonstrate new products and services in a collaborative environment. Among

many benefits, eligible SMEs receive:

●up to $50,000 in funding for new product demonstration projects;

●collaboration opportunities with corporate partners;

●physical workspace at MaRS; and

●connections to prospective talent (post-secondary and post-graduate students)
