Barrie Baycats Summer Camps

The Barrie Baycats will be hosting another big summer of camp for kids ages 5-14! Coming up in 2026, the Baycats will host a March Break Indoor Camp AND three weeks of summer camps in July at Athletic Kulture Stadium!

The summer camps will be divided into Rep/Select, and House League/Beginner. There will be 2 weeks of Rep/Select, with a 2-week package at a discounted rate and a House League/Beginners camp as the third week.

Note: your child does not need to be registered for a Rep or Select program to sign up for the Select/Rep camp. It just means it's the more competitive camp of the two.

MARCH BREAK INDOOR CAMP - March 16th - March 20th - 8:30am-2:30pm

Located at "The Warehouse" located at 49 Truman Road, Unit N9, Barrie, ON. 

COST:  $350.00 all-in per Camper

SELECT & REP WEEK 1 - July 6th - July 10th - 9:00am-3:00pm

SELECT & REP WEEK 2 - July 13th - July 17th - 9:00am-3:00pm

This Barrie Baycats Baseball camp is recommended for the up-and-coming serious baseball player who desires to become a better player and refine their skills on the diamond. The elite camp will be designed to challenge the serious baseball player to their maximum potential. The camp curriculum is fundamentally oriented with simulated and inter squad game play. The session is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for the rep and select levels. 

Camp participants will play games, receive instruction, and practice on the field at Vintage Throne Stadium, home of the 8-time IBL Champions Barrie Baycats.

REP/SELECT BASEBALL CAMP DESCRIPTION

Camp sessions will focus on:

• In depth hitting instruction with daily batting practice and stations
• Extensive infield and outfield fielding and ground ball work
• Proper footwork on double plays (feeds and throws) at every infield position
• Correct positioning on cut offs and relays in the infield and outfield
• Correct run down execution and positioning. Base running and reads while on the bases
• Team bunt defense, aggressive and normal
• Extensive pitching and proper throwing mechanics
• Agility and stretching routines
• Team Wiffle Championships
• Daily Team Activities (Soccer Baseball, Tennis Baseball, Non-baseball activities)
• Fun with associated activities (water balloons, slippery slides)
• Pizza Party Lunch (Friday)
• LOTS OF PRIZES

COST:  $350.00 all-in per Camper for 1 week

COST:  $650.00 all-in per Camper for 2 weeks

HOUSE LEAGUE/BEGINNER BASEBALL SUMMER CAMP

HOUSE LEAGUE/BEGINNER WEEK - July 20th - 23rd - 9:00am-3:00pm

This Barrie Baycats Baseball camp is recommended for the baseball player who desires to develop their skills in a less intensive fashion still with the focus on learning while having fun. There will be other activities mixed in during the week that will build on a great experience. The session is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for the house league and beginner levels.

HOUSE LEAGUE/BEGINNER BASEBALL CAMP DESCRIPTION

Camp sessions will focus on:

• Involving everyone in activities and drills
• Infield practice (Ground balls, baserunning, defensive positioning fundamentals)
• Pitching and hitting basics
• Relay throws
• Agility and stretching exercises
• Team Wiffle Championships
• Daily Team Activities (Soccer Baseball, Tennis Baseball, Non-baseball activities)
• Fun with associated activities (water balloons, slippery slides)
• Pizza Party Lunch (Thursday)
• LOTS OF PRIZES

COST:  $325.00 all-in per Camper

Summer Camp Hours: 9am-3pm Monday to Friday (Early and late pick up available - 30 minutes before and after. No registration needed.) Week 3: Houseleague/Beginner Week is 9am-3pm Monday to Thursday. 

Location: Athletic Kulture Stadium at  the Barrie Community Sports Complex - Midhurst, Situated at 2100 Nursery Road

What to bring:

• Cap, running shoes or cleats, glove (If available bat and helmet, but not necessary)
• Sun screen, snacks and lunch (except Friday, pizza provided)
• Water will be available but consider a thermos with liquids
• Weather permitting jacket

Rain out Policy:

We will try our best to operate fully each day that is scheduled. However, if we experience inclement weather, an email notification stating a cancellation will be sent (to this e-mail address) by 8:00 am that day. ***Please note that refunds are not available for rain outs and this day will not be rescheduled. A credit will be in place for next years Baycat campers. Let's hope we have nice, summer weather!
